MT Students Show School Spirit before Winter Break

From Wednesday, Dec. 17 to Tuesday Dec. 23, students at MTHS celebrated the upcoming winter break by dressing up for spirit week theme days, as decided by the student council.

Day 1: Tropical Day

The high school’s very own faculty dog, Milton, sported a multicolored pop-it color with a flower lei.

Juniors Sophia Sokol and Lilly Welsh donned colorful flower leis.

Juniors Maria Zeppos and Alex Luu wore matching vibrant shirts and flower leis.

Day 2: Dress Like A Snowman (White Out)

Mrs. Sweeney layered comfortable white layers and Mrs. Eshelman accessorized with a snowman headband.

Sophomore Gaelle Dorisinvil went all out with a fully white look completed with a tutu, tights and a headband.

Mr. Donough took a laid back approach with a simple white button up.

Day 3: Twin Day

Junior Norah Earley and Sophomore Lily Pallan show their MTMB spirit with matching royal blue sweaters.

Juniors Olivia Billet and Epi Boko wore matching graphic tees and comfortable leopard print pajama pants.

Day 4: Ugly Sweater Day

Mrs. Stevens sported an innovative sweater that created a Christmas wreath when the wearer’s arms were held up.

Senior Ever Burton wore a festive holiday vest atop a neutral colored long sleeve.

Miss Griffiths and Ms. Motto wore bright smiles and cute red sweaters.

Mrs. Kennedy wore a holiday cardigan with multiple designs. She also accessorized with ornament earrings and a green Santa hat.

Day 5: Holiday Pajama Day

Senior Nazaiah Soto-DeJesus sported cozy gingerbread men pajama pants.

Juniors Macy Ocker and Claire Nauman participated in the festive wear. Ocker sported red flannel pajama pants and Nauman donned a matching white set with a pattern of nutcrackers, Christmas wreaths and more.

Junior Kyle Snell wore a onesie with a design resembling the character Buddy from the holiday movie “Elf.”

The Student Council posted a recap of each day on their Instagram page (@mtstudentcouncil), including an announcement that highlighted the “best dressed” photo sent to them. The winners received a reward of a $15 gift card.
