On May 22, The Neighborhood held its annual Manheim Township Muskrat Day. The Neighborhood consists of the classrooms at the end of the long hallway in the basement, including Mr. K. Kantz, Mr. W. Kantz, Mrs. Kyler and Mr. Wagner. The event was held outside The Neighborhood before first period, and celebrated the crowning of this year’s Muskrat Monarchs. Featuring a parade and donuts, this year’s Muskrat Day theme was “country club.” With many people coming to school early and wearing specially made tee shirts, Muskrat Day is a lesser known tradition at Manheim Township that is kept alive by the students and Neighborhood teachers. This year’s two monarchs, Mrs. Esposito and Mrs. Dorf, were crowned, taking over Mr. Coleman’s position as the previous monarch.
