Mini-THON will be hosting its annual main event from 6-11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27.
With beginnings in 1973 at Penn State, Mini-THON is a student-led organization that raises money for children with cancer. The funds raised by various Pennsylvania schools benefits the Four Diamonds Foundation, an organization that covers crucial research, treatments and other medical services for affected youth and families, often eliminating a large portion of their medical expenses.
Every year, MTHS Mini-THON hosts a large themed event for those who have raised over $50 for their cause. This occasion consists of many games and activities, as well as food donations from local restaurants. This year’s theme is “Turn Back the Clock: Fast Forward the Cure.”
Mini-THON also hosts other fundraising occasions leading up to the main event. Key ones include the showcase and the Snowball Dance, which were both in January.
There is still time to register on Donor Drive and to raise the minimum amount to be able to participate in the main event.
