This November, many teachers and school staff participated in Mini-THON’s No Shave November challenge. In this challenge, the participants committed to not shave their beards or trim their hair for the entire month to raise funds for Mini-THON, a non profit organization that helps raise funds for children diagnosed with cancer. At the end of the month, if the staff reached their fundraising goals, the students would be able to choose a hairstyle for the teacher to get or a color for them to dye their hair. Thanks to the support of students, faculty and community, this challenge raised approximately $2,071. The following teachers raised the most money across the month of November:
In 1st place: Mr. Rutledge with $1,307.06
In 2nd place: Mr. Sneeringer with $307.77
In 3rd place: Mr. McCarthy with $298.86
There were still a number of teachers who participated in raising funds as well as meeting their personal goals to qualify for special hair treatments. Mr. Rutledge, Mr. Sneeringer, Mr. Baker and Mr. Loose partook in the fun hairstyles chosen by students, pictured below.
