On Monday, Dec. 1, the MT girls basketball team hosted their first game of the season against Central Dauphin East. Central Dauphin East defeated Township 59-39. Township outscored CD East 16-11 in the first quarter with points scored by Toby Bergstrom, Liv Parmer, Bella Stern, Ciniya Robinson and Aniyah Williams. Though the Blue Streaks did not dominate the second quarter, they scored 21 points during the second half. Robinson led MT with 15 points.
Township bounced back on Wednesday, Dec. 3, beating Warwick 55-35 to even their record at 1-1. Parmer and Williams led the scoring attack with 15 points each. Stern added eight points and Julia Weaver finished with seven for MT.
Township is scheduled to play against Eastern York on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
