What a year it’s been. From the Bluetique to fall sports to prom, our staff here at The Township Times has covered it all. Starting with a new name, The Township Times has undergone many changes over the course of the year. Our staff has expanded, story views have increased, and our Instagram has drawn the attention of students across MT (big thanks to our social media director, Gracie Clawson!).

Sadly, although we’ve attracted many new writers over the course of the year, we now have to say goodbye to our wonderful seniors—Francesca Rossini (editor), Joseph Valenzo (staff writer), and Shayna Finkelstein (editor). These three students have put an incredible amount of work into the paper this year and we’ll miss them in the fall!

However, this has made room for a new set of students to take the lead next year. Starting in September, Helena Carroll will take the role of Opinions Editor and Katherine Riley will be our Copy Chief. Clawson will continue to direct our social media, and I’ll stay in my position as Editor-in-Chief.

As always, we are on the lookout for new writers to join our staff, especially sports writers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our team, fill out this form and we’ll contact you at the beginning of the school year. Journalism experience is preferred, but not required.
