On Tuesday, Sept. 30, the Manheim Township girls tennis team defeated Lancaster Catholic 5-0 and won the Lancaster-Lebanon League girls team championship. This is the team’s 10th L-L League championship title in the past 11 years.
“I always planned on we were going to win,” head coach Carolyn Miller said in an interview with LNP I Lancaster Online. “I figured we had enough talent that I thought we were going to win leagues.”
Township’s top three singles players all won their matches. Senior Haley Miller won 6-2, 6-0, freshman Abby Martin triumphed at 3-6, 6-0, 10-4. Senior Maya Lamichane secured her match 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3, officially clinching the team win for the Blue Streaks.
