This year, Manheim Township’s prom is being held from 5-10 p.m. at the Eden Resort on Saturday, April 26. The theme is The Golden Age of Glamour, which represents the elegant and sophisticated styles of Old Hollywood in the 1920s-1950s.
“As class officers, we chose this theme because we wanted something spectacular for this year’s prom,” said senior class president Sofia Shorter.
Before deciding on this theme, Shorter spoke to many seniors and asked what their dream prom would look like. The general consensus was that people were interested in a black and white theme with a classy style, which led to the class officers’ decision of The Golden Age of Glamour.
“We’ve put a lot of hard work into this theme and we’ve spent our entire high school years raising money for this,” said Shorter.
Along with the theme, students can also look forward to great food, desserts, a DJ and other festivities during the night. Tickets are $60 and are on sale from now until April 4. They can be purchased during lunches, or after school until 3 p.m.
