On Dec. 16, 2024, Dr. Robin Felty resigned from her role as Manheim Township School District’s superintendent. Felty dedicated over 10 years to the Manheim Township School District, serving 8 ½ years as the superintendent and two years as a Special Education Supervisor. She spent a total of 34 years working in public education.
Felty was first elected to the position of Superintendent during a board meeting on June 30, 2016. She and many other team members worked to implement the Manheim Township North Star program that promotes a welcoming, safe environment in the school district.
Dr. Dale Reimann, assistant superintendent under Felty, is taking over Felty’s role as acting superintendent with Dr. Kelly Cartwright serving as interim assistant superintendent. Reimann will assume the duty of implementing the school district plan and further improving its performance. Since July 1, 2016, Reimann has served Manheim Township School District as the assistant superintendent.
In an email statement, Dr. Reimann states, “I am appreciative of the years that I had to work alongside Dr. Felty; she was a great leader for MT and I learned a great deal from her.”
Currently, Dr. Reimann is serving as the Acting Superintendent of the school district. An Acting Superintendent is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition between the previous superintendent (Dr. Felty) and a future superintendent.
“Since taking on the ‘acting’ role in December, I have been working hard on some larger projects related to collaborating with many school/district leaders on the construction of our district’s 25-26 budget, attending events to see our outstanding students performing and competing,” he said. “I’ve done some ‘full school day visits’ to some of our school buildings (I intend to reach all nine buildings by the end of the school year), and I’ve already had the opportunity to manage some weather-related school delays and Flexible Instructional Days.”
Reimann will act as acting superintendent until either the end of Felty’s five-year contract on June 30, 2025 or the appointment of a permanent superintendent by the board.
“I have been pleased to continue to work with such great administrators, teachers, staff members, parents/families, and students. I am optimistic that MT will have a productive and rewarding second half of the 24-25 school year,” said Reimann.
