On Friday, March 21 from 5-10 p.m., the Manheim Township Education Foundation (MTEF) will be hosting its second annual Creativity Challenge at Landis Run Intermediate School. Participants will design a mini golf hole for the Mini Golf Madness event on March 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In order to participate, students form a group of four to six MTHS students, all of whom must be affiliated with the same club, team or graduation class. The advisor or coach of each group will need to represent the students on their application, but will not be required to attend the challenge. There are only nine spots for groups, so be sure to register soon if you are interested.
On March 21, the teams will gather at LRIS to decorate their mini golf holes. There will be craft supplies for the teams to use during the challenge, as well as food and music. Then, on March 22, community members are invited to LRIS to play the nine holes of mini golf that were created by the students and vote for their favorite hole. This event is completely free and community members are encouraged to attend.
After the votes are counted, MTEF will reward the winners with their prizes. The winning team will receive $500, the 2nd place team will receive $250 and the 3rd place team will receive $100. All prize money will be donated from MTEF to the group that each team is representing.
Check out this flier for more information and to sign up if you are interested. Applications are due by 3 p.m. on Feb. 7, 2025.
