On Friday Jan. 10, MT girls basketball took on the Lebanon Cedars, losing 51-22. Brooke Weaver led the way for Township with 12 points, which were all three pointers. Olive Brandt was a leading scorer for Lebanon with 19 points.
MTHS senior Paisley Kappesser said it is important for the team to stay positive even after a loss.
“I think it’s very important to stay positive because it will help us in the upcoming games and it will help the team work together better and help us to play as a team,” she said.
Even after this loss, Lucy Brennan emphasized the value in working together.
“We learned that we are much better when we play as a team than when we play as individuals,” Brennan said.
According to Jordan Nguyen, Township views this loss as a learning experience for the next game.
“We know what we need to do to improve as a team for the next time we play them,” Nguyen said.
Township travels to face Penn Manor today before returning home to host Hempfield Thursday, Jan. 16. Both games are at 7:30 p.m.
