Fall: the season of “Gilmore Girls.” When the green colors we see every other season morph into beautiful reds and oranges, you know a beautiful season is coming. Whether it’s the season of Field of Screams or pumpkin picking, there’s something for everyone. You can smell fall by the faux pumpkin or overly sweet apple cider carbonated with nostalgia.
Fall is like a sepia-tinted memory that you’re fond of. Whether it is leaf piles that are inevitably destroyed or the special hayrides, fall becomes a highly anticipated season. The bittersweet of that first crisp air that passes through alerts us that we’re going to start losing sunlight. Even with the loss of light and the tall corn, autumn manages to give back beautiful scents, colors and memories. Nothing is more special than the first outdoor fire that the whole neighborhood can smell or anxiously awaiting the arrival of one’s Halloween costume. Autumn offers activities for any person: baking, fall festivals, football games, potlucks, carving pumpkins and so much more. Fall provides the perfect background for indoor and outdoor activities. Not only a perfect background, but backdrop, fall casts golden skies and beautiful amber light to take pictures. Autumn is also incredibly symbolic. The season itself shows the impermanence of things, like leaves on a tree, an incredibly important life lesson. Behind all the pastimes that you can enjoy throughout every single stage of your life is fall.
