MT field hockey defeated Penn Manor 3-0 on Thursday, Oct. 3 to secure a spot in the Lancaster-Lebanon League playoffs.
Township jumped ahead 1-0 in the first quarter on a goal by Rose Montgomery. Brooke Weaver and Sarah Ebersole both scored in the second quarter to extend the lead to 3-0. Teagan Byler and Addison Landis added assists for MT (13-2 overall, 8-2 Section One) as the Streaks secured second place ahead of the upcoming L-L playoffs. Emma Drolet made six saves in goal to secure the shutout.
Township begins the league playoffs on Saturday, Oct. 12.
