Senior Declan Clancy is currently surpassing many of the school’s football records.
As of Sept. 23, Clancy has broken the career rushing yards record with a total of 2,970 yards. Additionally, he has also broken the rushing touchdowns record with a total of 38.
Head coach Mark Evans described Clancy as “a hard worker and a great student. Always going above and beyond for his team and its members.”
Clancy has been a four year varsity starter for the team. He has also been elected as both a team leader and a legacy captain.
“It’s an honor to be elected by players and coaches but it’s definitely a lot of responsibility,” said Clancy. “You must always make sure you are present at team events and workouts.”
Clancy is close to setting even more school records, including total carries, points and total touchdowns. He is only one touchdown away from tying the school record of 45.
“As we are reaching towards the middle of the season, Everyone must be passionate about the game,” said Evans.
