The Township Times is Manheim Township High School’s official student publication. The goal of The Township Times is to provide MTHS students with accurate, up-to-date information about what’s happening in school, the greater community, and the world.

Township students research, write and edit articles for the enjoyment of their fellow students and members of the community. The club is advised and supported by Mr. McCarthy, an English and journalism teacher at MTHS.

The writing process typically involves interviewing those involved and summarizing the information to create an interesting and informative piece for the student body. Photographers have the opportunity to attend school activities, particularly sporting events, in order to capture the information in a visual sense.

As the school year begins, The Township Times is looking for writers and photographers who are interested in joining our staff. All interested students are invited to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 7:05 a.m. in room 137 or email [email protected] for more information. If you can’t attend, or would like to join our staff, please fill out the 2024/2025 student application to join the team.
