Throughout the past week or two, you’ve probably had a student walk up to you and ask you to fill out their Google Form survey. It could be any topic, from favorite music genre to ideal college location, but all of them have something in common: they are all for the AP Statistics final project.
The AP Statistics final project was created as a fun way to wrap up the class after AP testing, as there was no new curriculum to learn. The goal or objective of the project was to create an experiment or survey that could answer a student-picked question with a statistical analysis. The project sums up all of the skills and principles of the AP Statistics course, with such things as data collecting and analyzing data.
“[The students] have a little over a week and a half [to complete the project], and if they do what they need to do, they can easily get that done during class,” said AP Statistics teacher Mr. Klopp.
The project allows the students to move around the building and poll other classes, something Klopp said is a good aspect of the project.
