With the end of the school year rolling around, students are getting ready to relax for their three months of summer break. However, there is still one more major hurdle to clear before thoughts can go to vacation: exams. AP and IB tests assess the whole year’s curriculum, with implications of college credit. With the stress of preparing for these exams, it is especially important to know when they are occurring. The schedule from last year has changed and there is now a new schedule for the AP and IB exams.
The AP exams stretch for three weeks, from May 6 – 22. Each day, there are testing slots in the morning and afternoon. The morning testing has a report time of 7:25 a.m. and the afternoon testing has a report time of 11:30 a.m. There is also a late afternoon test slot, which would occur after school hours, but only AP Physics C: Elec. and Mag. fall in that category.
The IB testing for this school year starts a week and half before the AP tests, stretching from April 25 – May 17. Testing occurs all across the building. The morning tests begin at 9:00 AM and the afternoon tests begin at 1:00 PM.
Some of the AP and IB tests fall at the same time on the same day. If you are enrolled in AP and IB classes and their schedules coincide, please contact the school guidance office to schedule an AP makeup exam.
