With warm weather and the relief of the last marking period, students are beginning to look forward to the end of the school year. The last few months of school can be a stressful time with Keystones, AP and IB testing and finals, but we’re in the home stretch with only 31 days of school left. Here’s what to expect for the rest of the school year.
Testing begins on April 25 with the IB tests. The IB testing window is from April 25 to May 17. Then, AP testing picks up right after that with a window of May 7- 17.
Keystones are another large block of testing that will take place in the middle of May. Students take Keystones if they are enrolled in the associated class. The Literature Keystones are May 14 and 15, Biology Keystones are May 16 and 17 and the Algebra I Keystones are May 20 and 21. Makeups will take place on May 22.
On May 22, students will also receive their course verification letters for the next school year in advisory. That same week on Friday May 24 there is an early dismissal and on Monday May 27 there will be no school for Memorial Day.
The last in-class instruction day for seniors is May 29 and locker clean outs will be held for them on this day as well. Senior final exams will take place on May 30, May 31 and June 3.
Along with this, June 3 is the last in-class instruction day for underclassmen and they will have the opportunity to clean their lockers out as well. Underclassmen final exams will take place on June 4, June 5 and June 6.
Senior graduation rehearsals will occur on June 5 and June 6. Graduation will be held at 6:45 p.m. on June 6 at Calvary Church.
The final day of school is on June 7. There will be an early dismissal at 11 a.m. and then students will be released to enjoy their summer break.
