This year the MT Swim and Dive team participated in the “Stock the Shelves” CARE Closet charity drive. The CARE Closet stands for Community Assistance Resource Effort Closet and provides students in need with basic necessities donated by the community and, in this case, the MT Swim and Dive team.
MT Swim and Dive participants were asked to donate items such as paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, napkins, dish detergent, cleaning supplies, sponges, shampoo/conditioner, body wash/soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste and hairbrushes. Donating these items supports the charity in fulfilling its goal: enabling students to reach their highest potential without worrying about a lack of basic necessities.
“The drive was super successful,” senior Anna Burrows said. “I’m really proud of how many items we collected for the CARE Closet. It was a fun team bonding activity, too!”
