There are a variety of volunteer opportunities for students at Manheim Township to serve their communities, provided that one knows where to look. This article is a list of different organizations and clubs, inside and outside of MTHS, that showcases some of these opportunities for students during the 2019-20 school year.

In-school Clubs:

Students Against Starvation – SAS works to end hunger through student-oriented volunteer activities. Students participate in a 30-hour fast, work in a soup kitchen, and collaborate with the Boys and Girls Club. For more information, contact Mrs. Hoffaman or Mrs. Daveler.

Lions’ Leo Club – This club is affiliated with the Manheim Township Lions Club and is open to students willing to do community service activities outside of school. For more information, contact Mr. Kantz in Room 030.

The club volunteers at shelters and charities, as well as helps out with some activities at school. For more information, contact Mr. K. Kantz in Room 031.

Cyber Seniors – Cyber Seniors is a program run in partnership with Brethren Village that provides senior citizens lessons on modern technology. Students travel to Brethren Village to give one-on-one guidance to the residents on topics like setting up an email account or using an iPad. The next session of Cyber Seniors will take place in February of the 2019-20 school year.
