On Thursday, Oct. 9, the Manheim Township girls varsity soccer team played against Lampeter-Strasburg in the Lancaster-Lebanon League quarterfinals. Township won with a final score of 6-1. Goals were scored by freshman Hannah Kavanaugh, senior Elaine Warfel, sophomore Moira Brennan, senior Kate Palumbo, senior Liv Parmer and junior Stella Faranda-Diedrich.
The team’s next game was on Monday, Oct. 13 against Lancaster Catholic at home in the league semifinals. The Blue Streaks came out with a 4-0 win. Parmer scored twice and Reagan Taylor and Kavanaugh added goals.
Last night, the team beat Penn Manor to win its fourth straight L-L League championship. More coverage on the championship game is coming soon.
