MT football won its fifth game in a row in dominant fashion on Friday, Oct. 3, beating Cedar Crest 42-13 on Homecoming night.
Township (6-1 overall, 3-0 L-L League) trailed 13-7 late in the fourth quarter before scoring 35 unanswered points and shutting out the Falcons (3-4, 2-2) the final three quarters. Senior quarterback Jack Kenneff led the Blue Streak passing attack. He finished the night 21-27 for 290 yards and four total touchdowns (three passing, one rushing). His biggest target was senior receiver Daryus Dixon, who torched the Falcons for eight catches for 190 yards and two touchdowns. Dixon’s touchdowns (47 and 60 yards, respectively) gave him a league-leading 10 on the season.
Township also got strong performances offensively from running back Marcos Fernandez (96 rushing yards, 1 TD) and Taylor Veilleux, who added a TD run and a TD catch.
The Blue Streaks will host Reading on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. on Senior Night.
