On Friday, Oct. 3, Manheim Township high school students and faculty gathered in the arena to attend the homecoming pep rally, organized by student council members.
Performing groups included the marching band, the cheerleading team and dance team. The marching band played stand tunes while students entered and exited the area. The pep rally kicked off with a performance by the cheerleaders, followed by the dance team.
The dance and cheerleading team selected a teacher of their choice to perform a short dance with them. The senior football players also performed cheers and stunts.
The captains of each fall sports team also shared their successes and upcoming games with the attendees.
The pep rally concluded with the homecoming court and their chosen partners competing in a game similar to Simon Says called Ships and Sailors.
The homecoming dance took place on Saturday, Oct. 4.
