On Thursday, March 20, Manheim Township softball faced Cedar Crest in the team’s home opener. Township won 15-5. Highlights from the game included Senior Ellie Comerford’s home run, which was reflective of the team’s strong hitting performance. Freshman Violet Wagner handled pitching the entire game with intense energy.
According to Wagner, this game boosted her confidence for the season.
“This game has made me confident moving forward in the season because we won by multiple runs,” she said.
She also mentioned how her mindset was a big part of her success and a factor she wants to keep up moving forward.
“One thing I plan to improve for the next game is to have a good mindset and stay focused throughout the entire game,” she said.
Township (3-2 overall) will travel to face Hempfield on Wednesday, April 2.
