Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for a dazzling journey back to the roaring 1920s, where Hollywood dreams take center stage and the silver screen comes alive in spectacular technicolor brilliance. Join Manheim Township Performing Arts for a night of singing, romance, dance and rain. Each unforgettable scene, song and dance in this romantic musical comedy will not disappoint. With flashy costumes, jazzy dance numbers and hilarious snappy dialogue, you will be left laughing in your seat.
While the roaring media relationship of Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont might be good in the news, behind the scenes, things are not as great as they seem. Their latest silent movie is now being altered into a talking picture, but with Lamont’s nasally voice, it may be unsuitable for the new film. The production of “The Dueling Cavalier” faces challenges with poor sound quality, compounded by Lina Lamount’s grating voice. Lockwood and Cosmo come up with a plan to turn the show into a musical, and have Kathy dub her voice over Lamont’s part.
Singin’ in the Rain will take place in Manheim Township’s auditorium on March 27 at 7pm, March 28 at 7pm and March 29 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets can be purchased using this link. Come support your fellow friends in the cast and crew of this years’ musical!
